03History
The Tuxedo Club in Tuxedo Park, NY, lent the name; Harry Johnson printed it in 1888. Same martini skeleton, but the Old Tom and the liqueurs dress it up.
One dash of absinthe is seasoning — the glass should smell of it, not drink of it.
Origin contested — the entry keeps verified record and received legend distinct.
