03History

Printed by Jacques Straub (1914) and canonised in the Savoy. It was the club car's drink — 'the drink of the better classes' in Boothby's 1908 guide. The white menthe is key — the green is a different drink.

Serve in a snifter or a coupe; the spirit-forward nature needs room.

Origin contested — the entry keeps verified record and received legend distinct.
