03History
Butt entered it in a 1972 contest: equal parts vodka, gin, white rum, tequila, triple sec, sour mix, topped with cola. Prohibition-era 'Old Man Bishop' stories exist but are murkier.
It works because the spirits cancel each other — no one spirit reads.
Origin contested — the entry keeps verified record and received legend distinct.
