03History
Italians brought fernet to Argentina en masse; by the 1980s Buenos Aires students were stretching it with Coke. It is Argentina's most-consumed cocktail — outselling wine cocktails there.
The IBA ratified it in 2020 — the newest national drink to join the canon.
Origin contested — the entry keeps verified record and received legend distinct.
