Background

Tarling compiled prize-winning recipes from Guild competitions alongside the bar's own repertoire; the book doubles as a record of British professional bartending between the wars.

The 'Coronation Edition' marked the accession year of George VI. The EUVS flipbook preserves the 1937 printing.
