03History
Appears in Harry Craddock's Savoy Cocktail Book (1930). The story goes it was named for a Prohibition gangster — angelic face, hard pour. Equal-parts balance makes it one of the Savoy's most elegant entries.
Origin contested — the entry keeps verified record and received legend distinct.
